It is situated in a prime location close to well known designer boutiques such as Channel, Gucci, and Armani and is also located just walking distance from The Montreal Museum of Fine Arts.

The Situation
Many of the homeowner’s furnishings were quite large and numerous taking much of the floor space. The curtains were dated and some of the homeowner’s artwork and accessories were quite specific to their taste. The 2 outdoor spaces which are key selling points for the property did not show well and seating was limited. In all, work was to be carried out in 11 spaces.
The Solution
A combination of the homeowner’s furnishings and accessories as well as rental furniture was used to stage the property which kept rental costs down to a minimum. Several of the homeowner’s large furniture pieces were sent to storage. Outdoor furniture was purchased by the homeowner for the rooftop patio. The space now shows its best as a space intended for entertaining where you can benefit from the grand view of the cityscape. The smaller outdoor furniture was used for the side patio which worked extremely well as the furniture was proportional to the space.
The curtain valences were removed in all rooms and the side panels were pulled back to create an updated fresh look which exposed as much of the windows as possible. Small paint touch ups were done.
The office was transformed into a guest room and the space on mezzanine which was being used as an area to exercise was arranged as an office area. In order words, two spaces were created which buyer’s would expect to find in a property such as this one.
This property serves as a perfect example where two certified staging professionals (CCSP™) come together to support and work in collaboration to insure the deadlines and budget as they are established are met.
